Kaylee had her dance recital. She did a great job and we had fun watching the little girls perform. She enjoyed the year so much that she wishes to sign up for the fall.
Shortly after the recital Kaylee decided that the heat of early summer was too much and shorter hair was the solution. She whacked off a good 3 in.
Before
After
For the month of June:
If you will notice in the above picture, Kaylee had a bug house. She loves to catch fireflies (lighten buwgs). It is so beautiful to watch those beetles, like twinkling Christmas light across the field.
Happy Birthday, Paul!!!!
Our little boy had his first birthday.
He was not sure what to do with the cupcake, but sister is smiling. She knows!
With a little help....
he finally got into the swing of things.
At one year, Paul
can pull himself up, but not walk.
loves to play in his sister's room. When not allowed in there, he plays with his cars and tractors, complete with sounds.
says diden (diaper), duu (done) with a toss of his hands, dye (bye) and, of course, dada (he has this really neat way of saying dadaaaa in a deep voice - love it!).
best enjoys eating bananas, pancakes, broccoli, avocado, cauliflower, and brownies.
signs Kaylee, book, dog, cat, eat, water, where and banana.
gravitates toward dirt (the expression 'all boy' - all true!).
He has since added more words (finally, I got a mama!) and more signs (and corrected a few that he used as duplicates). Still no inclination to walk but I am content with things as they are as I can barely keep up with the crawling.
We love this boy of ours!!!
