A little boy!

For those that don't know yet, the ultrasound image indicated a boy. Frank is pleased with the news. He said that he is looking forward to the shift in the balance of power. The poor guy is currently overrun by females, including all of our pets. We do sometimes overrule him and give him a hard time. Kaylee, on the other hand, is not so pleased. Some of the quotes from her in the days following:
Kaylee - I am VERY disappointed. Mom - I am sorry that you are disappointed, Kaylee, but I am sure that we will have an exciting adventure learning about boys.
Kaylee - Maybe there are two in there, one boy and girl(Yikes!). Mom - No, there is only one baby (whew).
Kaylee - I hope the next one is a girl. Mom - There may not (probably not, not likely, nope) be any more babies for our family.
Kaylee - But I prayed to God for a girl(this one broke my heart - she was so set on a girl even though we tried to encourage an open mind). Mom - This one, guys, I totally botched. I tried to explain about the future and us not knowing the baby boy's role for God but I don't think I did well.

Overall we are most thankful that the baby appears healthy. And we have loved the prayers and congrats!

  2. How exciting! Thanks for sharing Kaylee's comments. They are so precious and made me laugh. You can share with her how much Hattie loves her little brother...and they are about the same age separation as your two will be. We are so happy for you!
